A Word about St. Agnes Church ...

On October 7th, 1980, Feast of the Holy Rosary, St. Agnes Church (where the Rosary is recited twice daily, noon and 5:30 p.m.) received ..."the singular honor" ... which will forever become part of recorded history... East 43rd Street was proclaimed ..."Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen Place."   Then Mayor Edward L. Koch in his proclamation address said: "East 43rd had been selected, because it is the busiest pedestrian street in the world! ... Thus befitting, the most famous churchman of our century ... "And it was at St. Agnes Church that his sermons were carried throughout the world."

Today at St. Agnes Church, Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen's words and works are still very much "Alive."  Programs currently underway include:  "The Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen Mission for Homeless people".   Write to us for more information.
