(Continued from above)... What is unique to this journey is staying 8 nights in Medjugorje which is known as the Oasis of
Peace - the little village where our Blessed Mother has appeared to six children, now adults, reportedly these past 26
years and is still present daily to three of them. After our 8 day stay of peace and prayer, we are pleased to announce
that we will be departing early from Medjugorje to Sarajevo, where we will experience a greater insight of Our Blessed
Mother's messages. It will be a sobering, yet deeply spiritual journey as we witness some of the great tragedies that
befell the whole area.
Sarajevo is known as the European Jerusalem as the major religions around the
world are congregated within 100 m. of each other. There you will see Roman Catholic Church, the Jewish synagogue,
Orthodox Church and Moslem mosque. In 1997, after the war, the late Pope John Paul II made a historic pilgrimage to
Sarajevo, where "trampled and violated by hatred" he "went to trace - personally, after having spiritually covered it step by step - the furrow of a new path. He went to assert, challenging protocols of caution and cohabitation, the right which, beyond his own merits, every man deserves: that of knowing that he is loved. That he is not alone. And John Paul II went to Sarajevo and Beirut to strengthen - and possibly extend to all places - this dramatic cry for peace. 1" .
Recently, Pope Benedict XVI invited "representatives of the Islamic Leaders group to come to Rome for in-depth discussions. [HRH] Prince Ghazi bin Muhammad bin Talal, the president of the Aal al-Bayt Institute for Islamic Thought in Jordan, revealed that he had accepted the papal invitation. The Jordanian leader indicated that he hoped to meet with the Pontiff in February or March 2008." 2 This indeed will be remarkable as "Vatican officials are determined to press their case for Islamic recognition of the right to religious freedom, especially for Christians living in predominantly Muslim countries."
We will overnight in Sarajevo at the notable Holiday Inn (the only functioning wartime hotel available during the civil war for the war correspondents in 1992-1995). The following morning, we will depart for home with renewed vigor in prayer for peace and a deeper understanding of the Gospa's messages.
Regarding Medjugorje, it is worthy of mention, it is Cardinal Vinko Puljic of Sarajevo, in the summer of 2006, who stated that a new commission to review the matters surrounding the apparitions of our Blessed Mother, who has referred to herself as the Queen of Peace, will be eventually formed. The Cardinal has recently [3/25/08] made it clear that they have not yet received the directive from the Holy See, and he stated not to speculate further on this matter.
In Medjugorje, we will be staying at the modest, yet comfortable Villa Regina, hosted by the Vasilj family, which is next to St. James Catholic Church and convenient for the pilgrims who may need assistance.

Please know that everything was wonderful, especially our Medjugorje guide, Slavenka. This was our fourth pilgrimage and our second with 206, and my husband and I agree that Slavenka is a treasure, pure and simple. Never have we experienced such an exceptional guide, and she took care endlessly of our every need and question, be it hotel stuff or travel and site questions.
We were also delighted to be at the Villa Regina instead of at a local's home. However wonderful that experience would have been, my husband's knees needed the benefits of an elevator, and of course the view of St. James Church and Cross Mountain from our room for six wonderful days has no price.
Our Dubrovnik stay was also perfect: the room and food at the Argosy and our poking around the old town was a nice, quiet interlude before returning home.
Thank you and everyone at 206.... we are so happy to have traveled with you.

Dear Milanka and Stefanie,
Thank you for an exceptional spiritual experience. Our Medjugorje guide Slavenka is phenomenal. In all my experiences with several guides in Medjugorje, all being very good ones. I personally have not experienced the exceptional and exemplary performance of a guide as I have with Slavenka. So much so that we all want her to come to Las Vegas; she has been invited. She is a pearl, always has a smile and ready to serve our every need no matter what the need. If I had to compare her with one of the visionaries it would be Vicka, (unconditional love and untiring service with a delightful smile).
I have always stayed with a family which I prefer, however, I must say that I was exceedingly surprised at how much I enjoyed the Villa Regina Hotel. Especially having the beautiful view of St. James, praying the Angelus to the toll of the bells every morning. Not to mention the view of cross mountain and apparition hill, (between the mountains) where it all began. A new experience for me which I will definitely repeat again.
After Medjugorje to come to the heart and soul of our faith, Rome, "THE VATICAN" was awesome. To visit the core of our faith in all its beauty and richness and a chance to see, hear and to be blessed in person by our beloved Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI is a treasure to behold forever in my heart. Coming from the perfect peace of Medjugorje. "Rome" truly was a challenge to now put into practice what Our Lady has asked of us in Medjugorje. In all it was a wonderful, extraordinary spiritual experience for me.
Thank you 206 tours for all you did for us in making this pilgrimage an unforgettable spiritual experience of the highest quality. God bless you!
+J.M.J.
Forever grateful,
Perla
